Go to our website www.hazenlibrary.org and look for this OverDrive icon on our home page; or go directly to http://ndlibrary2go.lib.overdrive.com

This will take you to the North Dakota Digital Consortium (Library2Go) library of items available for downloading to your computer, iPod, MP3 player, the Nook, Sony Reader, the Kobo eReader, Android, Kindle, etc..

A complete list of compatible items is available on the Overdrive website.  

What you need:

·    A valid Hazen Public Library card 

·    An internet connection

·    Free, required software available on the Library2Go website

(For your eBook reader you need Adobe Digital Editions, and OverDrive Media Console; for your Apple iPod and MP3 players, you must have iTunes v9.1 or newer downloaded.  For your Kindle, you need to register your Kindle to get an Amazon account.)

You only need to download and install these ONCE!

How it works:

·    Search by title, author, or format and choose the item you want

·    Add the selection to your “cart” (if the item is not available, you can place a hold and receive an email when the title is available)

·    Click on the “proceed to checkout” link and enter your library card number

·    Download and enjoy…click the “download button under each title to launch the software.  Remember you must have the required software on your computer.

·    Transfer to your device

·    Audio & video – click the transfer button on the OverDrive Media Console to launch the Transfer Wizard and follow the onscreen prompts. 

·    For eBooks in Adobe Digital Editions, drag and drop the title onto your device’s name on the left panel.  You can then disconnect your device and enjoy your title on the go.

·    Some items can be burned to a CD.  Click the “burn” button in Overdrive Media Console and launch the Burn Wizard.  Select what you want to burn.  When the process is complete, you can enjoy your title on the go.

KINDLE

Choose your item, click on Add to E-cart, then proceed to checkout.  Confirm checkout.  Click on “Get for Kindle” which sends you to Amazon.  Sign in to your account or if you haven’t done so yet, register your Kindle on Amazon.  The next time you have Wi-Fi access, your E-book will appear on your device.
